Our Mission
The Bella House provides a faith-based residence for homeless, pregnant women. We offer a safe haven where enriching programs inspire transformation and brighter futures for mothers and their children.
Who we serve at Bella House
We serve pregnant women (18 and older) that are homeless or have no stable living environment. They usually lack a support system to help them throughout their pregnancy. They are making the courageous choice to parent their child in spite of overwhelming circumstances, and are seeking help and support to reach their goals for independence and stability. The Bella House is proud to empower each woman to make positive changes in her life in order to become self-sufficient, emotionally strong, and a good mother to her child.

At the end of the woman's stay, we hope that she will:
Be financially independent
Be spiritually healthy
Have a strong support system
Increase her knowledge about parenting/child birth
Increase her education
Make steps towards a career goal
Repair broken relationships in her life

How do we do this?
Bella House will provide for the immediate physical and emotional needs of the mothers including: shelter, food, clothing and a supportive community. We will also connect the mothers to appropriate agencies and resources that can help meet their goals including pre-natal care, health insurance, low-cost housing and education programs.
Bella House will offer an environment where LOVE is tangible. Fundamental to The Bella House is an understanding that transformation is only possible when one experiences an encounter of authentic love, the love of God that is reflected in the good works of a loving people. By honoring and respecting the innate dignity of the mothers who join our community, we create an environment that is profoundly respectful and affirming to the goodness of the mother and the life of the child she carries.
Finally, Bella House will offer various resources to directly support the development of the mothers including one-on-one and group therapy, assistance with transportation needs and life skills.
