Why the need for Bella House?
Pregnancy is meant to be experienced in the context of a family. We seek to provide a family-like environment for these women by having the staff live with the expectant women and their children together in a home.
Single motherhood and the breakdown of families are some of the biggest social and economic problems facing our nation today. Over 40 percent of all births in the United States are to single women. At The Bella House, we hope to provide a loving and empowering alternative for women in crisis pregnancies who choose life for their child. We seek to strengthen women by modeling healthy family environments and providing women with educational and relationship tools. We also seek to strengthen families by engaging the fathers of the children in the educational and healing process.
